I have finally decided on a name for my Tarot deck.

The Animalis Arcanum tarot is an ongoing tarot design project.

The tarot is a vivid and empowering tool for self-development as well as an astute method for forecasting some of the myriad possibilities the future will hold.

The symbolism of the Tarot is what interests me, the power of pictures; the hidden messages contained within symbols.

I decided to create my own vision of the Tarot, using modern technology, a computer! I use Photoshop, a Wacom tablet and Poser to assist me in my artistic endeavours.

Each card includes birds and animals as symbols. The symbolism of birds as spirits have ancient roots. Animals have been and still are used as totems or spirit guides in different civilisations.

My aim is to keep the symbolism and the meaning of the cards as close as possible to the tradition of the Tarot whilst giving a different view on the cards :-)

The Animalis Arcanum Tarot is a combination of my passion for the cards and for animals too.
